IV International Winter Championships in Medical Rescue – Szczyrk 2009
10 February 2009On September 8-9 this year, the Second International Emergency Medical Services Championships were held in Israel.
Poles this time unrivaled.
The team representing the Association of the Institute of Emergency Medical Services from Cracow – took first place in the 2nd International EMS Championship, The Dead Sea, Israel 2008. The Poles did not give their rivals a chance and stood on the highest step of the podium. The winning team consisted of doctor Andrzej Nabzdyk, paramedic Andrzej Kołacki and nurse Adam Płaczek
After 11 day and night competitions, the team took first place in the ALS category – international teams. In simulated situations, Polish rescuers provided assistance to, among others, a child stung by a scorpion, an actor pierced by a spear during a re-enactment in the ruins of Masada, and resuscitated a newborn baby just after birth.
Teams from Israel, Jordan, the Czech Republic, Canada, the Netherlands, Turkey, the United States, Ireland, Germany, Norway, France and the United Kingdom participated in the competition.
