This year’s official celebration of Medical Rescue Day was organized by WSPR SPZOZ Meditrans in Warsaw and the Air Ambulance Service
This was the 9th time we celebrated the Medical Rescue Day, established by the Parliament on September 8, 2006 under the Law on State Medical Rescue Service
The festivities began with a solemn Mass presided over by Monsignor Kazimierz Cardinal Nycz at St. Anne’s Academic Church.
Then all the guests, accompanied by flagbearers, marched to the official ceremonies, which were held at the John Paul II Collection Museum. Their highlight was the presentation of the Crosses of Merit and Medals for Long Service. Minister Pawel Soloch, head of the National Security Bureau, presented the decorations on behalf of the President.
In addition, departmental awards for Meritorious Service to Health and the Blessed Gerard Awards were also given. Minister Zembala presented the statuettes to Vincent Mazurc, director of the Wrocław Ambulance Service, and Artur Borowicz, director of the Katowice Regional Ambulance Service.
