From June 22 to 24, 2008 in the town of Red Kalina near Ternopil, the First Championship in Medical Rescue was held.
Five crews from Poland participated: Krakow, Lublin, Rzeszow, Bielsko-Biala and the Fire Brigade from Kurow, which took first place in the classification of foreign crews. It is interesting to note that during the Championships there were different rules for first aid than in European Union countries. Akatex presented its clothing and it met with considerable interest from the rescue services.
